Day 01 - Cochin to Munnar (4 Hrs drive)

Welcomed by Travel Planners representative at the Cochin Airport/Ernakulam Railway station and thereafter drive to Munnar a hill station(140 Kms/4 Hrs drive), located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. With its sprawling estates, rolling hills, sparkling waterfalls, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys, Munnar is an ideal holiday destination. En route visiting Cheyyapara & Valara waterfalls . Check into your hotel and unwind. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the ambience of Munnar. Overnight at Hotel

Day 02 - Munnar

Morning after breakfast 9 AM you can go for sightseeing Munnar which includes Tea Gardens, Tea Museum(Will be closed on Mondays), Eravikulam National Park, Echo point, Top Station,Kundala Dam,Mattupetty dam; you can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight at Hotel

THEKKADY

Day 03 - Thekkady (3.5 Hrs drive)

Moring after breakfast 9 AM drive to Thekkady (110 Kms/3.5 Hrs drive), an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 wildlife reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel.Afternoon you can go for boat cruise in the Lake to watch wild animals is an option (Inside the sanctuary). Pls make the prior reservation for boating through https://www.periyarfoundation.online/package.html (preferable timing are 1.45 pm or 3.30 pm). You can also explore the activities like Spice Plantation tour, Elephant ride, Kathakali dance performance seeing, Martial arts performance seeing, Jeep Safari etc.. Stay overnight at Hotel.

HOUSEBOAT

Day 04 - House Boat(4 Hrs drive)

Another morning drive, this time, to Alleppey, popularly called the Venice of the East, to see the winding canals and an amazing network of backwaters. On arrival, you will be checking in to a traditional Kerala houseboat which will take you on a fabulous tour of the backwaters. Overnight stay will be in the houseboat

Day 05 - Departure (2 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast checkout and drive to Cochin , upon arrival continue with the local sightseeing tour ,here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of India’s most beautiful murals. Evening departure transfer to the Airport/Railway station for onward journey.(NB - Jewish synagogue, Mattancherry Palace etc are closed on all Fridays & Saturdays)
